Interviewing by Phone

Online interviewing can be nerve wrecking if you are new to the work from home adventure. Really, there is not much to be worried about. It is much like face-to-face interviews - you may need to go through a few to gain the job you desire. Some employers prefer to interview by phone during the application process.

Interviewing by Phone

Applying to online job opportunities can involve a variety of interviewing processes. Some employers like to interview by phone. This allows them to actually talk to the person and get a better "feel" for the person they are interviewing.

When taking the time to interview by phone, be sure to do your very best in using proper English and grammar. Be prepared ahead of time - have notes written, your resume handy, as well as other portfolio items which you can refer to if needed.

Interviewing by phone can take place in a variety of ways. Some employers will place calls to your home, or cell phone, to make the interview. Others will use a program like Skype, which offers computer to computer calls - much like an actual phone call.

Just remember to stay calm, eliminate possible distractions at home, and speak with confidence. You can make your dream of working from home come true!
