Writing Jobs from Home

For most people, obtaining writing jobs from home fall into a category called freelance work. If you’re unsure what that means, I will tell you.

Freelance means an individual who offers their services to many companies as an independent hourly employee with no long term contract. This individual can work for large or small companies or businesses or even for a single person. They are not hired as an employee of the company but as a contractor.

With that being said, the internet if full of places looking to hire freelancers for writing jobs which can all be done from the comfort of your at home office.

Most companies look to hire a Virtual Assistant for writing jobs. A virtual assistant is exactly what it sounds like, a person in charge of administrative duties for a company or single person. You would need exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and understand the workings of social media sites such as Twitter or Facebook.

Another fantastic writing job is blogging. This will not make you a lot of money at the start, but, you can start to monetize your blog after just a few months and really start to see the money come in after a year or so. Blogging is a writing job usually done on a personal web diary which allows you the freedom to pick and choose what you want to write about. A great blog writer has intriguing content and connections with other bloggers. Once you are established, you will be able to do a sponsored post, which are paid postings from a company.

A third writing job you may consider is ghost writing. A ghost writer will write columns, stories, books, and more for another individual who has paid them for their time. You will give up all rights to what you have written but the payout can be very high.

Writing jobs can be easily found at such websites as elance.com, hubpages.com and ehow.com.
